BIOSHOCK INFINITE: DAY ONE

teal_deerLast checkpoint: Soldier's Field. We just came off the gondola from Battleship Beach.
First, nonspoiler: My biggest annoyance with this game is the fucking checkpoints. I hate it in other games, I hate it here. I hate playing to get to the save point. I just want to be able to turn off the game whenever I like, ok?
So I'm not really doing a summary, just my thoughts as the game progresses. First thought on boat ride: these people are talking about me very oddly. I've been trained by Irrational to NEVER EVER TRUST A FUCKING THING THEY DO. ALL IS FORESHADOWING AND SYMBOLISM. Every last fucking thing. So the fact that they're talking about me so oddly suggests... things. Weird things.
Initial view of city: man I am running this shit at medium-low graphics and it's still one of the most stunning games I've ever played.
This didn't occur to me later, but Booker dies in that aqueduct. It occurred to me before my first death though, when Comstock started talking (I forget in which audio log) about how you die in the waters and are reborn a different man. I was like, shit, I thin that's literal. So... who is Booker now?
I've tried to do what I think is right thus far. I didn't take the coins out of the basket, though I admit I looted the temple prettty fucking hard. It's actually a little weird -- since I'm not in a post-apocalyptic wasteland anymore, I feel bad about taking money from people, so I've started only doing it when it's obvious that nobody's coming for it (eg, out of trashcans). I also got a bit self-conscious about rifling through bins. I am abruptly cognizant of my kleptomaniac hobo nature. It makes sense when you are in a dying underwater city where everyone is crazed genetic mutants. Much less so when it's a city of religious zealots.
What the hell is going on? Does history even corroborate? Is this an alternate universe? It has to be...
Is Booker even a real person? Is he partially real? Does he come from the same "place" as Elizabeth (Creepy British Lady mentions this once in an audio log)
SPEAKING OF: WHO THE FUCK IS CREEPY YUPPIE COUPLE!? They only enhance my perception that nothing is real here.
As far as I'm concerned, this might as well all be SHODAN's creation, and in the end she's gonna laugh and be like I AM GOD. PS: THIS IS MY DAUGHTER. OLOLOL
Does Elizabeth have an incurable cough of death, also? Is she radioactive? Hmmmmmm.
OH. The Skyway or whatever it's called? I was hit with a huge wave of nostalgia for Riven's Mag Lev; that's basically what this thing is. Well, a more killy, deathy, horrible version of the MagLev. Did I mention that this game is fucking beautiful? Jesus.

ELIZABETH: Everything she was promised to be and more. Am wondering if maybe Booker was made up by her to be an ideal hero
Am equally wondering if Booker was brought here by Comstock to be the instrument of bringing his Lamb to the world to destroy it
Am wondering where the hell they get all that water for that fake ocean
Wondering a lot of things
Oh and especially wondering how much shit Fox News is going to flip if they actually play this game :V
